OSU and the Center have a long history of successful and mutually beneficial University-Industry collaborations. Therefore, CLPR faculty members have a good grasp of the critical technology issues relevant to high-tech research and technology transfer. Such University-Industry joint efforts create a level of synergism that is difficult to find in any other such effort. Furthermore, students in the Photonics Advanced Degree program will benefit from the faculty's already strong collaborations with the industrial community. Being a key productive element in economic growth in Oklahoma and throughout the world continues to be a top priority in the Center for Laser and Photonics Research.
